Join us for the Adoptees On(ly) Book Club!

We’re discussing adoptee-authored books most months! Take a look at the selections and join the discussion on live Zoom roundtable discussions. We do our best to have selections from all genres including fiction, memoirs, young adult, and more!

Authors of the book selections often join us in the discussions and the audio is recorded and shared later in the Adoptees Off Script podcast feed on Patreon. Patreon supporters are invited to the Adoptees On(ly) book club, and all Patreon donations support the production of the Adoptees On podcast.

Meet the Co-Hosts

Haley Radke

I’m an adoptee advocate and the creator and host of Adoptees On. I’m also an avid reader, and my collection of adoptee-focussed books is growing by the day! I have over 170 adoptee-authored works on the bookshelf you often see behind me on Zoom calls.

I believe that sharing and understanding intimately personal stories—like the ones in these books—changes the societal perceptions of adoption to identify it as the life-altering journey that it is.

Sullivan Summer

Sullivan reads more than 150 books per year across all genres, author demographics, and historical time periods. She knows this because she keeps detailed spreadsheets and pie charts and is not embarrassed about sharing her stats (just ask her). She is a member of the 2023 Brooklyn Poets Mentorship Program, where her work focuses on themes of adoption, identity, race, politics, U.S. History, and pop culture. She is also a regular contributor to Adoptees Off Script. (You can listen to her story in episode 211.)
